THE SCIENCE OF EMOTIONS

As individuals, the intensity with which we feel various competing emotions bias our preferences and ultimately our behavior. These emotions are influenced by automatic neural associations created through a process called memory encoding.

Implicit measures “read” emotional associations to presented stimuli(visual concepts, and other sensory stimuli) to uncover how they activate neural network associations that give rise to emotion.

Perceptions are cataloged into associative memory structures during a biological process called memory encoding.
